About me
I am a California licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and hold a pupil personnel services credential for school social work as well as an administrative services credential. Prior to working in education, I provided case management and substance abuse treatment for parolees and DUI offenders, taught job readiness skills to adults seeking work in the food industry, served as an office administrator and paralegal for a law office, and provided therapy and parenting support for families in truancy court. I started my education career providing education related mental health services (ERMHS) for special education students with high mental health needs. I worked for several years during and after the COVID pandemic with alternative education students in independent study and continuation.
As Attendance TSA, I train and support attendance personnel and administrators at all schools in San Ramon Valley Unified to follow attendance law and policy, consulting and collaborating with site teams. I also completely rebuilt district's School Attendance Review Board Panel from the ground up after COVID and serve as chair. The SARB panel focuses on helping absent students and their families to identify and overcome barriers to school attendance when site interventions have not been not successful, providing internal and external resources and referrals.
