Dr. Angela McClaron is the District Lead Counselor for San Jacinto Unified School District and a passionate advocate for fostering equitable and inclusive educational environments. She is the founder of I AM Exodus 3:14 and the co-founder of I AM Empowerment Group, initiatives dedicated to empowering Black and Brown educators, students, and families. Additionally, she co-facilitates San Jacinto's African American Advisory Council and serves on the Parent Leadership Board for Murrieta Unified School District's African American Parent Advisory Council.
Dr. McClaron holds a Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on K-12 Education from Grand Canyon University and a Master's in Educational and Clinical Counseling with LPCC Certification from Azusa Pacific University. Her mission, summarized as Educate, Advocate, and Teach (E.A.T.), is driven by her personal experiences as an African American woman navigating an educational system that often overlooked her cultural identity. These experiences fuel her commitment to implementing culturally responsive practices that help students feel seen, heard, and valued.
With extensive professional experience and a deep commitment to lifelong learning, Dr. McClaron is dedicated to creating spaces where all students can thrive. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, further enriching her understanding of the importance of connection, community, and empowerment.
