Laura Collins-Williams serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Student Services in the Beverly Hills Unified School District, where she oversees a wide range of programs, including special education, student health and psychological services, discipline, attendance, safety, and equity initiatives. With over 25 years of experience in education, Laura is a dedicated advocate for inclusive practices and student-centered leadership.
Her extensive career includes roles as a teacher, Program Specialist, District Special Education Coordinator, Director, and SELPA-level administrator. She has worked across diverse educational settings in Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, and San Bernardino counties, serving students in traditional schools, non-public schools, and the Juvenile Court School System. She has developed award-winning programs, restructured systems to enhance student support, and implemented initiatives to promote equity and social justice.
Known for her strategic vision and collaborative leadership, Laura has significantly advanced district-wide inclusion, improved fiscal efficiency including improved ADA and reduced chronic absenteeism as well as fostered positive relationships among stakeholders. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, live theater, sporting events, and cherishing time with husband, daughters and grandsons.
