Courtney Matz, Ph D, is a Senior Program Specialist in the Child Welfare and Attendance Unit with the Los Angeles County Office of Education. She has worked in the field of Education for over 15 years as both a School Counselor and School Psychologist. In addition, she has taught coursework at various universities, including Chapman University and Alliant University since 2014, and is currently a Senior Lecturer at Loyola Marymount University, where she has been employed since 2017. Furthermore, Dr. Matz is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and has done private practice work. Her practical work and experience make her an asset in the field. She prides herself on her dedication to students and making a difference in the community at large. Her areas of expertise include trauma informed practices, special education advocacy, and multi-tiered systems of support.
